About PSDI

Interior Design is one of the S-1 study program in Faculty of Fine Arts in Yogyakarta, which educate the field of planning and designing the space in residential buildings, whether commercial, social, and cultural.
(Study of Interior Design Program) from ISI Yogyakarta held with the aim to produce graduates who are able to understand, analyze, and solve various problems of interior design and konstekstual systematically, and intelligently apply art concepts into visual and verbal work.
As an art form of arranging, interior design work can be applied to the various functions of buildings: houses, hotels, restaurants, shops, offices, museums, etc.. The work embodied in the component design space, aesthetic elements, furniture, and utilities that are arranged creatively.

Lectures and FACILITIES
Lectures given in the theory and practice of balanced with experienced guidance of lecturers. This makes the college is not tense but very enjoyable.
S-1 Study Program Interior Design ISI Yogyakarta has several laboratories including lab.komputer with 2D/3D software and lab.airbrush, all classrooms equipped with air conditioning and LCD projectors, a library with a collection of design books from domestic and overseas facilities, students can also take advantage of free internet hotspot areas to support the lectures.

ACHIEVEMENT
S-1 Study Program Interior Design ISI Yogyakarta has obtained the accreditation status of the BAN-PT A DEPDIKNAS. In the year 2002 S-1 Study Program of ISI Yogyakarta won Interior Design of the program of education grants DUE-like
Some of the achievements of students among Indonesian Winner Design Competition 2004 category of furniture, Winner HomeCientro Interior Design Competition 2005, Winner Mowilex Colour Awards Competition 2005, Winner of Jepara Furniture Design Awards 2006, Second Place Campus Design Awards 2007, Runner Indonesia Furniture Design Awards 2008.
Course Lecturer Interior Design S-1 ISI Yogyakarta also become one of the Black Innovation Awards 2008 winners
PSDI also obtained MURI record for more than 1100 murals garbage can which was then distributed throughout the Jogja time to host the Interior Design Student Work Meeting Indonesia to nine.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Physical development is so rapid in Indonesia has not been proportional to the number of interior designers. So that the average student of interior design has been getting the job less than six months after graduation or even before graduating college. Employment opportunities that can be achieved is as a designer, both in the consultant / contractor field of interiors, furniture, craft or exhibition, as a writer and researcher of the interior design field, as a faculty member / lecturer interior design and independent entrepreneurship / entrepreneur in the field of interior design.
