Featured Research Seminar 2009

PSDI NEWS, (24 November 2009) Research Institute of Indonesian Art Institute Yogyakarta, on November 20, yesterday held a seminar on Competitive Research of the National Strategy for 2009 at the Rectorate Building 3rd Floor, Kampus ISI Yogyakarta, Jl. KM-6.5 Parangtritis Sewon, Bantul, Yogyakarta. A total of 10 research titles which are all themed art, both visual arts, performing arts, as well as recording media art, presented at the event. The objectives of the National Research Competitive Strategy is to address national issues such as poverty alleviation issues and issues Sénia in supporting the creative industries (Creative Industries).

Of the 10 titles of the research, three of them carried out by three research team involving faculty from the Interior Design Course ISI Yogyakarta. First Team is about Drs. Hartoto Indro S, MSN. (Team leader) and Doni Arsetyasmoro, Â SSN study titled "Potential of Local Non-Teak Wood Products for Furniture in Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta". Team II is a combination of Interior Design Study Program (PSDI) and the Department of Art Craft led by Rahmawan D. Prasetya SSN, MSi. with members of the Martino Dwi Nugroho, SSN, MA, (PSDI) and the Great Wicaksono, SSN (Programs Kriya). The title of her research is "Management of Industrial Waste Wood Furniture for Home Accessories Product Development." Team III, led by Sumino SSN. (Art Kriya) consists Yulyta Kodrat P, ST., MT., (PSDI) and Drs Hendri Suprapto (Balai Batik). The team is conducting research entitled "Potential Test Substance Producing Plants for Natural Dyes Dyeing Batik Woven Silk and Mori."

The 10th National Title in 2009 Strategy Research Competitive tersebut elected after going through the stages of selection carried out by the reviewer-reviewer of the external environment ISI Yogyakarta. Research funding itself comes from the same institution with nilai DIPA around 100 million rupiah per the study and carried out for 10-12 months. Seminars this result is one form of responsibility of each team of researchers in conducting research activities in the year 2009 with these funds.
