Visits to the Museum Sonobudoyo
PSDI NEWS, (06 November 2007) As I've scheduled in early course, a total of approximately 35 students participating in the course Introduction to Cultural Anthropology together Sonobudoyo visit the Museum of Yogyakarta on Saturday, November 04, 2007 yesterday. The visit is intended to enable the students more familiar with the culture results generated by direct human and real. This visit was very well received from the manager of the museum. With escorted by an experienced guide, a student group led by Martino Dwi Nugroho, S.Sn., one of the course lecturers pengampu invited to walk around in the museum which contains many objects of traditional cultural products, especially Javanese and Indonesian society generally.
Introduction to Cultural Anthropology itself is a compulsory subject for more study the relationship between behavior, the pattern of community life, and cultural outcomes that emerged from these life patterns. This course Amnestied by a team of lecturers, which consists of Drs. Sumartono, MA, Ph.D., D. Rahmawan Prasetya, S.Sn. Author: (Team coordinator), and Martino Dwi Nugroho, S.Sn., and accompanied by three assistants (student force in 2004), aunty Rubiyanti, Angela P. Intania, and Nova Retnawati.
In connection with the locality of culture, this course was agreed to more cultural themes that exist in Indonesia. In the first mid semester, the material is still around cultures that are general. While the middle of the second semester, the material is more focused on culture results in the form of works of art architecture and fine arts. After taking this course, students are expected participants will be able to recognize the characteristics of local culture results and will be implemented in later design work.
